Hearty Beef and Tomato Pasta

"A classic and comforting beef pasta dish featuring a rich tomato sauce with savory ground beef, perfect for a satisfying meal for two."
Ingredients
All Steps
Heat olive oil in a large skillet or pot over medium heat. Add finely chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
Add minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
Add ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spoon. Cook until browned, then drain any excess fat.
Stir in tomato paste and cook for 1 minute, then add crushed tomatoes, beef broth, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer.
Reduce heat to low, cover, and let the sauce simmer for at least 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, to allow flavors to meld.
While the sauce simmers, cook spaghetti according to package directions until al dente. Drain well.
Toss the cooked spaghetti with the beef and tomato sauce. Serve hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil leaves.
