Ingredients
All Steps
Pat the shrimp thoroughly dry with paper towels. Season them evenly with salt and black pepper.
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and 2 tablespoons of the unsalted butter over medium heat.
Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to let it brown or burn.
Add the seasoned shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for 1-2 minutes per side until they turn pink and opaque. Avoid overcrowding the pan; cook in batches if necessary to ensure even cooking.
Remove the cooked shrimp from the skillet and set them aside on a plate.
Add the remaining butter to the skillet and allow it to melt completely. Stir in the fresh lemon juice, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
Return the shrimp to the skillet and toss them gently with the garlic butter sauce to coat evenly.
Stir in the fresh chopped parsley just before serving.
Serve immediately, perhaps with crusty bread for dipping or over pasta.
